The Hwa Chong Chinese Society is a dynamic and close-knit family staging a wide range of interesting activities, which allow students to discover and hone their skills and talents to their fullest potential. The Chinese Society consists of three clubs in which students can major: drama, calligraphy and debate. Although the three section work closely to provide many opportunities for students to be exposed to the Chinese culture.

Chinese Drama is one of Hwa Chong's flagship programmes. Whenever performances are staged, all students of the Chinese Society will have the opportunity to participate, improving their language skills, developing their self-confidence, and cultivating their aesthetic appreciation.

In Chinese Debate, the students can watch debates and pick up the ability to respond quickly to different situations, training their logical thinking and developing their eloquence.

Last but not least, students can immerse themselves in the beauty of traditional Chinese calligraphy.

The Chinese Society provides plenty of opportunities for its members to improve their knowledge of art, enhance their art appreciation, hone their thinking skills and build up their self-confidence.

华中中文学会是一个活动内容丰富多彩、激励上进又和睦融洽的大家庭。中文学会汇集戏剧、书法和辩论三个特长分社，三个分社既相对稳定，又相互交融，让同学们在充分发展自己兴趣的同时， 也能接触到另外两个分社的精华。例如，中文戏剧是华中的旗舰课程，当华岗剧坊有演出的时候， 中文学会的所有同学都有机会参与，提高语言表达能力，锻炼自信心，增强艺术修养；戏剧社的同学在演出闲暇之余既能观摩辩论社同学机智的应变能力，严密的逻辑思维能力，字字珠玑的雄辩口才， 也能学习中华传统书法的技艺与神韵等，陶冶情操，修身养性。中文学会能提供丰富的机会让成员提高对艺术的见解、增强艺术修养、锻炼自我的思辨能力和展示自己的胆识。
