The Hwa Chong Judo Club was founded in 1989, with the help of head coach is Mr Tang Soon Onn - a Sea Games gold medallist and a mulitple-time Singapore Judo Openweight champion. We have remained one of the most established judo team amongst the Singaporean School Sports judo scene.

 

Hwa Chong judo has managed to consistently produce good results usually winning at least one divisional championship each year. Our Hwa Chong judoka are extremely dedicated and disciplined when to comes to their training , training at least 3 times a week, constantly improving in order to be the best in their respective weight categories in the National Schools Judo Championship. This competition remains the most important and prestigious judo competion for Singapore Schools Sports judo teams.
