With its existence dating back to the establishment of this school, The Hwa Chong Scouts Troop has had a 100-year-old history and has celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2019. We perform various types of activities ranging from field cooking, pioneering to first aid. Hwa Chong Scouts also have been invited to campfires organized by many other troops such as Catholic High, Zhong Hua, and Raffles Institution. Scouts have yearly overseas events or international events and Hwa Chong Scouts participate in them, 2019 was SG-Macau Camporee which 5 scouts attended. In 2020, a major 7th ASEAN Jamboree which will be held in Singapore where scouts from countries of ASEAN will be coming over for the event. 

 

For our Friday activity, we have a Bugle Band as well as a Lion Dance Troupe. The Bugle Band performs during the School based National Day parade while Lion Dance Troupe performs during Chinese New Year, National Day and other prestigious school event. As of today, we are one of the best renowned Scout troops in Singapore and has upheld a high level of discipline and commitment ever since.
